I like that there are 2 options for attachments; that was thoughtful.
The one thing I don't like is the rubber cord. I prefer keeping my phone in a shoulder pouch in my pack and some sort of retractable cord may have kept the length out of the way and keep it from snagging. Even in a pocket, it's a bit awkward.
However, it does feel very secure and I don't have a better suggestion other than a strong retractable cord, like a steel coated with something.
